Chick knit plea response 'fantastic'

An appeal by a children's hospice for knitted chicks has seen it receive an "unexpected" flock of around 6,300. The request for Easter chicks to sell was made by Manchester's Francis House Children's Hospice in national knitting magazines and online. Hundreds of knitters sent chicks from as far afield as the Orkney Islands, Cornwall and Spain. Chick knit co-ordinator Amy Swatkins said the response had "exceeded our expectations". City Blogger: Yaya Toure, King of the League

Last week I was trawling one of the many City forums that are now in existence and I came across a point that literally left me dumbfounded. Then when I looked into it a bit more (having not watched an English Match of the Day this season) I found that it was also a view that former Blues midfielder Dietmar Hamann had shared on the subject; namely that Yaya Toure was somewhat of a liability towards the team. Now I am not…
